Getting Started in Athletics
A Step-by-Step Guide to Participating in Athletics
Very Important information
The following must be completed ASAP & NO LATER THAN THE FINAL CLEARANCE CUT OFF DATE.
1. FAMILY REGISTRATION-- FYI Fall Registration will open in July 2026.. This will be for Fall Sports, Dance, Cheer, Band. Please do not register prior to July 1st- it will not roll over to the new school year.
All athletes are required to complete the High School Sports Registration form located in Focus for each season & every sport played that season. NOTE- Only parent listed as Contact # 1 will be able to see and complete this form.
2. GET A PHYSICAL EXAM
This is the link to the MSHSAA Physical Packet you need to take with you to the doctor :
Only page 5 of the MSHSAA Physical packet needs to be returned to the school
3. COMPLETE THE IMPACT TEST
All athletes must complete ImPact testing every two years with our Athletic Trainer (this means, Freshmen, Juniors, students new to Timberland or new to athletics). There will be several dates throughout the year for each season, please check your email for the most current list of dates.
4. FINAL CLEARANCES WILL BE EMAILED
Final clearance will be emailed to both parent and athlete. The student will then be added to a spreadsheet showing they have been cleared for the coach
