Homecoming Dance

• Approximate Time of Year: September / October

• Sponsor: Student Council

• Who Can Attend: All Timberland students and their approved outside guests (see Guest Policies section below)

• Location: Timberland Commons

• Typical Schedule: Homecoming includes the following:

  • Spirit week with themed dress-up days and food trucks

  • Powder Puff football tournament

  • Pep assembly

  • Friday night football game

  • Saturday night dance

  • Wentzville School District community parade
     

Junior & Senior Prom

• Approximate Time of Year: April / May

• Sponsor: Junior Class Officers

• Who Can Attend: All Juniors, Seniors, and their approved dates (see Guest Policies section below)

• Location: Off-campus venue 

• No Door Sales: All tickets must be purchased in advance during the designated sales window. No tickets are ever sold at the door.

• Tiered Pricing: Early-bird discounts are typically offered for student tickets during the first week of sales – prices increase as the deadline approaches.

• Fines & Fees: All outstanding school fees, fines, and obligations must be paid in full before purchasing a ticket. Students needing financial assistance should contact the main office.

• Ticket Delivery: Student tickets are purchased online via GoFan using student's @wsdr4.org email addresses (must be logged in via Chromebook at school or any device at home).

Rules

• One Guest Limit: Students are permitted to bring one guest.

• Required Guest Form: Timberland students must submit a completed Guest Form (available in the main office) and be verified before a guest ticket can be issued. This form must be turned in and the guest ticket must be purchase before the last day of ticket sales!

• Fixed Pricing: Guest tickets are sold at a flat rate and are not eligible for early-bird discounts.
   

Guest Form Scenarios

The guest form must be filled out if the guest...

• Attends another high school.
• Attends South Middle School.
• Has already graduated high school. In this case, the guest form must be filled out by a parent. Note that 21+ year olds are not allowed at Timberland school dances.
• Is homeschooled. In this case, the guest form must be filled out by a parent.

The guest form does not need to be filled out if the guest...

• Is a 9th or 10th grade Timberland student attending Prom with a 11th / 12th grade Timberland student. In this case, the 11th / 12th grade Timberland student must be present when the 9th / 10th grade Timberland student purchases the ticket.

• School Rules Apply: All standard school dress and conduct policies apply for the duration of the event. Any violation of school rules will result in immediate removal from the dance and consequences as outlined in the Student Misconduct and Disciplinary Consequences guide.

• No Re-Entry Policy: Once a student scans into the venue, they may not leave and re-enter the building for any reason (including going to vehicles).

• Entry Requirements: Digital tickets on a smartphone or physical paper guest tickets must be presented at the door for entry.

Mr. THS is one of Timberland's favorite annual traditions, showcasing the talent, creativity, and school spirit of senior boys. Contestants compete in a variety of events, including talent performances, themed attire, interviews, and other entertaining challenges, all while raising money for a charitable cause. The event brings students, staff, and families together for an evening of fun, laughter, and friendly competition.

Each fall, Timberland proudly participates in the Wentzville School District Homecoming Parade, celebrating school pride and community spirit. Students from athletics, performing arts, clubs, and organizations represent Timberland by walking in the parade, decorating floats, performing, and cheering on fellow Wolves. The parade is a longstanding tradition that brings together all WSD schools and the greater Wentzville community.

Powder Puff Football is a spirited competition featuring the junior and senior girls facing off on the football field while senior and junior boys take on the role of cheerleaders. Filled with friendly rivalry, school spirit, and plenty of laughs, this annual tradition gives students the opportunity to showcase teamwork while supporting their class.

Throughout the school year, Timberland hosts four school-wide assemblies that celebrate school spirit, recognize student achievements, and bring the student body together.

• Fall/Homecoming Assembly: Kicks off Homecoming festivities with class competitions, games, performances, and school spirit.
• Veterans Day Assembly: Honors the service and sacrifice of military veterans through student performances and special recognitions.
• Winter Assembly: Celebrates the winter season with student activities, performances, and school-wide fun before winter break.
• Spring/Prom Assembly: Wraps up the year by celebrating spring traditions, recognizing student accomplishments, and building excitement for Prom and other end-of-year events.

Each spring, Timberland hosts the annual Swofford Memorial Basketball Game, a community event that honors the memory of Scott Swofford, a beloved WSD teacher, while raising money for the Scott Swofford Memorial. The event features a friendly basketball game between students and staff, along with opportunities for students to pie staff members in the face, raffle basket giveaways, and other fundraising activities. Open to students, families, and the community, the event celebrates school spirit while supporting a meaningful cause.
